Requesting Your PIN

• The application process is much faster if the student and at least one parent (if applicable) obtain a Personal Identification Number (PIN).
• Your PIN does not expire, so it can be used from one year to the next.
• Your parent can also electronically sign a FAFSA Web Application using a PIN
• The student and parent can each obtain their own PIN at www.pin.ed.gov.
• Your PIN can be used each year to electronically apply for federal student aid and to access your U.S. Department of Education records online.
